History of the Wheeler Family (Update)

More about these families when they first lived in Canada (Several districts in southwest Ontario, including Long Point in Lake Erie), followed by a move to Michigan (Mikado), then back to Canada (Alberta), and finally to NE Saskatchewan, is chronicled in Trails North and West (The Pioneer Way),which is now available on Amazon. Following are screenshots from the Long Web Site.

The following photo is our Great Great Grandfather Richard Wheeler (1824 – 1906) who was born in Canada and died in Michigan. See photo of his 2nd wife, Mary Procunier (photo below).

Below, our great grandfather Peter James Wheeler with his brother David Augustus Wheeler. The fact David Wheeler moved to Alberta in 1905 is a new fact of which I was not aware when writing the book.

The following information also came from the Long Point site. You may note that some of the historical lineage may be in conflict beyond James Wheeler and Mary Slingerland with the information in the Family Tree posted in the Trails Book. As both in the men married Mary Slingerland, it seems only the birthdates are in conflict. Beyond that, and while there may be some conflict in names, it seems we are in the correct family of Wheelers.
